Which Home Energy Audit is Right for You?
An energy audit from Energy IQ is an extensive home energy efficiency evaluation. It’s performed by a certified energy efficiency expert and shows you how your home uses energy and how it wastes it. The audit results in a customized plan that empowers you to make energy-saving choices that fit your budget and your lifestyle. And our energy efficiency experts can help make it easy for you to implement the recommendations you choose.
We offer our clients three levels of residential audit services:
- EIQ Energy Performance Review: (from $150) A great starting point to becoming energy efficient. The EIQ Energy Performance Review is a complete interior and exterior survey of the homeowner’s property by a certified energy rater and utility bill analysis (requires last 12 months energy consumption info). Homeowner receives a “just the facts” report on potential cost-effective improvements to the property.
- EIQ Comprehensive Energy Audit: (from $400) Our signature service! The EIQ Comprehensive Energy Audit is a complete survey of the property AND diagnostic testing (blower door). This report is more in-depth and contains greater detail on appliances and behavioral components of energy savings. We can add-in Infrared Thermal Analysis or Duct Leakage testing for an additional charge.
- HERS Rating: (from $750) Home energy ratings (HERS) provide an industry standard measurement of a home’s energy efficiency. Consider a HERS Rating for a home like you would the MPG rating for a car – they are both quantifying standards used to compare energy efficiency performance. A HERS rating is often a requirement for federal/local financing and incentive programs. We can also accurately model potential impacts of energy improvements to a subject home, including solar PV/Thermal, with the HERS analysis software. This Audit includes all diagnostic testing: Blower Door, Duct Leakage and Infrared Thermal Scanning.
